ea82 ignition troubles, possible fuse prob.

I had started working on my 87 GL sedan the other day, I had just replaced a fuel injector and tried starting it. It hadn't even sparked. There was no ignition or anything. The guy i had bought it from said the only thing that should be wrong is the fuses, which he had tried fixing a problem with before i bought the car. He definitely isn't a mechanic but I'm confident enough in him. We checked all the lines for clogs and made sure everything was lined up accurately, as well as all the electric involved in ignition, except the fuses. The engine only turns over from the starter. So does anyone have a picture of their fuse box or a diagram of one? Really appreciated.

What is your problem exactly? I can't understand from your post what is going on - are you having problems with it cranking or with it actually starting?

If you can't crank it with the key then you have classic ignition switch problems most likely. If the problem is that it won't start then you need to find out what you are missing out of these five: Air, Fuel, Spark, Timing (ignition and valve), or Compression.

I recently had a problem with not being able to start my car. I tried to turn the key and got nada, zero, zip, zilch. Turns out the KEY I was using was bad. An old one that apparently was worn out. I had laid my good key somewhere around the house & couldn't locate it in a hurry so I went to the back-up key (one of several). The bad back-up key, as it turned out.
