So I was working my way around the a/c system to see where I need to change o-rings etc so I can get it working again when I came across this:

 

 

This is the hose that goes to/from the compressor itself. I want to know if I should super glue that sucka back on or if I need to start looking for a new core. Any advice would rock.

That's going to need a new core, unless you want to try to weld it. That's an iffy prospect. It'll be easier to simply replace the thing.

You might wish to call a parts store. A new evap core isn't usually terribly expensive and is a known good part with a warranty.

That looks like a condenser core (the one in front of the radiator).

The evaporator is up under the dashboard.

Yeah you're right it's the condenser core.. thanks for the correction. Good thing too, sounds like its a hell of a lot easier to change than the evap core.
