Hows this sound for 84 Wagon?

Featured Replies

Well, the carpet in my 84 GL Wagon is toast.

I took out the back carpet, and its just on metal now, looks better...

Thinking that for the inside rear cargo area and the back of the rear seats, I will see if I can get that spray on bed liner in there, so that its durable for throwing parts on and also looks cool.

Also want to tear out the front carpets and do the same thing, or something similar for mudding, my dad had an F350 that he lifted and used for construction, drilled hole in the floorboards and just hosed it out when it was dirty, pros and cons?

Thanks guys :P

There's some OEM dampener/tar mats on the metal now. To get the best adhesion you may want to get rid of those. BUT it WILL make it quite a bit louder without any dampening on those panels.

Another option is a product called lizard skin (i think) - which is a spray on liner that also is a dampener. If money isn't an issue then check out second skin's product line... good but $$.

I've got a full set of Metallic green wagon doors with manual windows.

Or I can make you're power windows work.

either way PM me and make an offer

PO changed the driver's door to a manual one and cut the window harness off at the jam . Probably just needs some wires jumped in the harness to complete the circuit to the other windows.

This car is a nightmare. And part of the harness is melted from a fire - don't underestimate what may be required to make those windows work.

Dry ice for the win!

Did this in my landcruiser - even better than heatgun is dry ice. get one or two 5lb bags - let it sit on the tar then hit it with one of those rubber/plastic head hammers - comes right off (and in big chunks).

My brother and I did my entire FJ60 in about 1.5-2 hours this way. Let the dry ice sit for a minute or two on the next spot you will be going. having a second bag helps speed it up - an extra set of hands of course helps.
