95 legacy & 01 outback specs??

Featured Replies

I'm trying to decide on whether to buy an 01 outback llbean edition, v6 and want to compare the interior room to my old 95 legacy lsi wgn.....but i cannot find the interior spec sheet to save my life!! Anyone know of a link that lists headroom, legroom, etc.

Thanks

a couple things....an 01 Outback is going to be bigger in nearly every dimension compared to a 95 Legacy.....without listing any source, I can tell you that. I am sure the dimensions are somewhere on google or something...

They also never had a "V6" of any kind....maybe an H6?!

good luck,

Jeff

you are right, H6 is the correct term....I'm finding info on the 01 but nothing on the 95

cars101 has dimensions.

95 will be the same as any other wagon up to 99 so you can compare that way if cars101 has late 90's dimensions?

i have glanced at measurements before and the OBW's gain like an inch here or there.

we did a similar jump - though our 96 Lsi (same specs as 95) is a sedan and not a wagon but their dimensions are the same except for rear cargo stuff. still have the LSi and now an 02 H6 OBW (same spec's as 01). the OBW is larger but it's nothing to write home about. you'd have to have a very specific need or OCD or picky to get an OBW for the "increased room".

the car seats for the kids are hardly noticeable difference, if anything they seem to "fit" better in the older LSi just because of seat angle/etc - whatever inch or so gain is in the OBW is hardly noticeable to us.

We have an '01 Outback LTD and a '98 Outback LTD (no sunroof) as well as a 97 Legacy L wagon in the family. We did have a 95 Legacy L sedan and the head room in the older models was better than the '01 with the dual sun roofs. I'm 6'3" and have to recline the '01 seat back more than I like for comfort. If it did not have a sun roof it would be roomier than the other models. I also notice that the electrically controlled front seat is slightly higher to accommodate the motor under the seat, even when move down to it's limit.
