Cleaning EGR passages

Featured Replies

My EGR passages are completely clogged. Is there any good ways

to clean 'em without removing the manifold and soaking it? Does the

speedo cable on the drill really work or should I not waste my time?

Can't pass smog 'til I can get it cleaned out.

..pushing or reaming a hardened material into the intake manifold my not be good for the pistons..or you might just get lucky by taking a small screw driver to scrape the surface of the clogged hole..maybe you will not have to go any deeper..

I don't have anywhere to do the work for one. And honestly, I'm too busy to

wrench on my car at this point in time. I might just try to get a second

manifold for cheap so I can just swap it out when ready.

I Believe that if you Might find the Time to Take Off the intake Manyfold to do a Swap... You Might Wash out Clean the one you already have, instead of a Swap...

I Washed my EA82's intake when I Did the Weber Swap...

...and it is Still Clean! :)
