1984 Brat Y Pipe Woes =( Need advice where to buy one

Featured Replies

Just need to know a good replacement store to purchase from. There is NO saving this one. The passenger side of the Y pipe rotted off, then it hit the ground, big hole in the cat that i fixed, and hanger broke right off the weld. I think its time to recycle the cat, and just buy a new one.

Any input would be nice!

Bump, I know someone has advice for me.

Used from the west coast is your best bet - try the wanted section.

It's not that hard for an exhaust shop to fab you a new header - you can go that route also.

You can use one off an ea82 if you remove the iron spacers on the ea81 exhaust ports (if yours has them)

You might have to trim a bit on the radius rod plate and the cat's heat sheild for the EA82 pipe to fit properly. But yes it can work.

Thanks for the advice guys! After lots of phone calls and price checking, I got a magnaflow one off ebay for $158 free shipping. I hope I can heli-coil the passenger side right, so it wont fall off this time. And I finally got my first cheap welder. Flex wire, but I'm broke untill someone hires me.
