check out this OBW. I don't necessarily like the lights, but will this bar fit a 1998? It's listed for a 2000, and I think it adds a bit of aggressivity (I made up that word) to the stock wagon.

You didn't include a link, but after searching Google, I think you found the same article that I did. 2002! Do they make one for a 98?

given the limited production run and efforts in that thread i think it's obvious they don't "make one" for the 98. give them a call and see.

RallyInnovations made one back in the day and I hear they've been getting requests for more also (hint, hint) from other sites but, look for a used one here in the Classifieds and on other Legacy/ Outback specific forums (I found one in May last year after a 3 month look) or just fab your own. a shop can make one like that for probably less than $200, painted and mounted, just find a local fab shop and ask away, as for the lights, I would run those in a heartbeat.
