January 28, 201115 yr I am orig. owner of car; 290K now! Rebuilt AC syst. several years ago: new comp. & evap. coil- all works & is cold, except: comp. cuts out seemingly at random & will restart also seemingly at random- also when it cuts out the interior HVAC fan cuts out. Don't really know where to start looking- maybe there id a relay somewhere that is just old and temperamental- please advise!
January 29, 201115 yr the compressor is designed to cycle based on refrigerant pressure, as it fluctuates with engine rpm. however the blower shouldnt turn off. i would check the relays for both the blower and hvac. on some wrx's i've worked on its been just a poor connection where the relay plugs in.
