Hello,

I have a '98 Outback 2.5 automatic, and I need to replace the driveshaft (rear section) due to bad u-joints. Can anyone tell me if there are model years (other than '98) that would be compatible.

All auto legacy and outbacks are the same. carrier bearing is different between leg and OB. and rear shaft length is different for manuals.

i thought the rear sections were all the same, it was the fronts that were different lengths for manual and auto trans.
