February 6, 201115 yr i have a 86 d/r and need to take notes on the clutch sizes the 7 7/8 disk is for FWD only correct? the 8 7/8 disk is for the 4wd d/r ?? its for a 98 legacy with the 86 d/r 21 or 24 spline? what other options do i have
February 6, 201115 yr When I went to napa to get a new clutch for my 86 Brat(EA81) they gave me a clutch kit for an 86 GL wagon(EA82) which is 24 spline.The pressure plate seemed to fit on the flywheel fine, same with the pilot bearing, but the friction disk was 3 splines to big for the transmission shaft. The 24 spline 8 7/8 should fit fine. I dont know about the 7 7/8 disk for FWD, mines 4wd 8 7/8

February 6, 201115 yr IIRC 21 spline is for EA81 2wd/4wd and EA82 N/A 2wd. 24 spline is for EA82 4wd and 2wd turbo.
