'85 Soob won't start :(

How is the battery? rapid clicks would suggest low voltage. A single click would suggest a bad connection to the solenoid. Try jumping a wire from the battery to the small terminal on the starter. If that works, investigate the ign swithc, or install a pushbutton.

If you get the car to start, look on the dash. IF the brake warning light is glowing, this means the alternator is failing.

Okay, this is just too funny. The simplest solution was the solution.

I don't drive my car very often, I didn't even think about the battery draining. I gave it a jump, and it started up.

What in the world was causing that sound in my video? Can a low battery do that?

I just had something similar, my 85 brat was running rough right after I took of and re-installed the plug wires. my issues was a vacuum plug that I had broke off on top of the engine. caused it to run like it was only firing three cylinders.
