February 22, 201115 yr Does my 86 xt turbo need that trip computer that is in the dash? I want to use that area for my boost and air/fuel gauges.
February 22, 201115 yr No, it does not need it. I should warn you against trying to remove it and replace it with something else as the dash/cluster trim is prone to breaking if even looked at the wrong way let alone removed. It was weak out of the box and more so 25 years later.....

February 23, 201115 yr Author the trim was already broken when i bought the car, I pick on my new trim from subaru this week, so i figured since its already off I might as well fix, replace and upgrade while its still off.
