Don`t see how you could force a plug out unless the threads were already stripped.

Your original post said that it hydrolocked while attempting to start rather than while running, correct? If so, bent rods are nearly impossible: Starter at best produces 2HP, compared to at least 40HP that these rods can take in normal use. Same with sparkplug under these conditions.

 

Maybe/possibly blow out an already failing HG due to shock load, but if so it wasn't going to last much longer anyway.

yes, the HG did blow. But now the bearings are making noise in the crankcase.

Are you sure it is a rod knock, and not something else? e.g. - the HLAs (hydraulic lash adjusters)

 

Any idea how long the bearings were exposed to water in the oil? (As in, was this a one-time "things went bad", or a chronic exposure over weeks/months.) Possible that the bearings were damaged by exposure to coolant and started to come apart; might already have been doing so, and this aggravated the problem.

Have you checked the crankcase for coolant?

Like NW said, coolant will ruin the bearings.

Water was in the oil for 10 miles. Only water no coolant.

Now it makes a dull banging when the oil is low so I'm looking for an oil pressure tester or gauge.
