So I found out that I had no power to the coil while cranking so she starts no problem but for some reason the starter is binding even after the engine is running. I changed the step to the EA 82 flywheel specs and I don't understand what is going on. The starter only goes in one way without any adjustment. I even put the starter in from my brat thinking it was the starter and it did the same thing. Does anybody have any ideas??????????

Try putting a .090" washer between the starter and the trans (both bolts). Standard flat washer should be close enough.
