What the best tire size/brand for a lifted Legacy?

Featured Replies

I think I am going to reinstall my 04 forester XT suspension on my 1995 legacy wagon. Currently I am running 95 wagon GR2's with STI springs and it is to low for rally cross, I am getting sucked down in the rutted out corners.

Last time round I used 215/70R15 Dunlop Graspics winter tires. They worked well and only had minimal rubbing at full lock.

This time round I would like to run a fairly aggressive tire that I can use for rally cross and playing around off road.

What are people running for tires on there lifted Legacys?

On my stock 05 impreza im running 27" general Grabbers AT2 with very little rubbing at full lock. Work great for daily driving even the snow.

i have stock 98 outback struts on mine and i had 28 super swamper tsls on mine but i had to do a little pinch weld modification in the back nothing big but it drove great. I mostly agree with the 27" general grabber at2 because it is a very good over all tire. or the BFG at which is almost identicle to the grabber or you might be able tolocate some BFG km2 tires.

205/75-15 grabbers on my 90 and 215/65/16 on my 96. great tire. i've out run many suv's and trucks and pulled some out to. the specs say my size measure out to 26.8 and they are close to not fitting on my 90 legacy but they do.

I think I will go with the AT2's. Can't beat the price and they seem to be exactly what I am looking for. Thanks.
