So, my wife wants A/T's on her foz. what is the biggest tire size you have put on a forester? I can do a 1.5 or 2" strut spacer lift if need be, but if I get rims, then she gets tires...

nobody has put bigger tires on a foz with stock struts. it's got 195/60-16's now. Think it will fit 215/75-16's

205's fit for sure. 215's rub on Outbacks, but I'm pretty sure they were fine on foresters. You have to watch your clearance with the strut.

I have a set of 225 60 16 tires on mine right now and they are just fine. Great ride and I love the look.

I put 225/55R-17 tires on my wife's '99 Forester. Looks great and we haven't had any issues with rubbing. Rims came from a 2006 Legacy.

Adding comments about "how high can you go" for our Impreza.

 

Finally got the tires/rims mounted on the Impreza. The 205/55-16 tires on the 6x17 RS rims are about as large as you can go. I have just about 1/4" clearance on the rear struts (AGX).
