Working room in the engine bay.

Featured Replies

Not that the engine bay is that small for the size of engine but being a flat 4 its sometimes difficult to get access to the heads areas.

So I have.......

Moved the spare wheel to the trunk.

Moved battery to where the spare wheel used to be.

Moved Jack to the trunk.

Fitted a larger fan belt in order to raise the alternator away from head. (had to make an extension for the tensioner)

Fitted a slimmer radiator fan from an EA81.

Generally made merry with the grinder and removed any surplus tags and brackets

Nice work. If you want more of a challenge next go try that with a SVX:grin:

SVX. No worries. Just rip out the passenger seat and throw it all in there!

Check out the new paint on rocker covers and pulleys!

Feels a bit like I have bought my mistress some sexy new knickers......

Reminds me of my engine bay

Great work. See if you can paint some of those black spots to match the green. Maybe get some polish too and give a few things a rub down and some black touch up paint for the little bits like the radiator and fuel pump bracket.

Carb is the larger EA81 Hitachi. I removed all the vacuum accessories and converted the secondary to a mechanical linkage.

Also I converted to maunual choke.

The air filter is 'ramflo' It is a washable filter but I don't trust it so I have changed back to EA81 filter but have cut up the filter box and repainted.
