rolled gl hatch

Featured Replies

ive got an 87 gl hatch with the stock ea81 in it. two weeks ago me and my friend rolled it (only about 5 mph) the car looks to be fine but when i go to turn the key, nothing happens. not even the electronics work in the car. any ideas?

ive spent a few days trying to figure it out and have NO clue...

is there a safety feature that cuts the power when the car is rolled?

Thanks for any help!

my guess here is when you rolled the battery hit the hood and grounded out that caused the main fuisable link to blow thus no power to the car. IIRC the Fusable link box is on the passenger side under the hood the links are just wire fuses and they plug in should be 3 or 4 of them.

Cheers R.

PICs..........:clap::clap:

Main power feed to the fusable links could've came unplugged at the link box.

Not to sound stupid but what do you mean by IIRC.(IF I ReCall?)

iirc there is a checkball in the fuel suppl line that if the car is rolled over, the check ball blocks fuel supply..

if you get nothing with key, then check all cable, grounds, fuses.

I dont know how to post pics directly on the board, but all you have to do is go to a picture hosting website. I use http://www.flickr.com/ Make an account kinda like you did on the USMB and then from there you can upload pictures of your choice. then you can copy the address of the picture and paste it in your post.

Create a photobucket.

Upload your photos.

Try to resize to 800X600 or 640X480.

Copy the IMG code

Photobucketinstructions.jpg

Paste that code into a Reply to Thread box like any other message.
