HMK110
So I picked up this car as a project-pretty good shape, changed out the Plugs/Plug wires/Dist-Cap/Fuel Filter/PCV and wiper blades. Currently the car has a rough idle, today I heard an air leak from one of the hoses behind the carb that's connected to a t fitting. the hose was split-BUT, here's the deal got a new piece of hose still runs rough if I plug the end of the hose runs great, it connects right above PCV outlet, any ideas. Also where can you buy fusable links for an old sub Edited August 28, 2011 by HMK110
El Presidente
Leave the fixed/new hosed plugged in a find why its running rough. You probably have a vacuum leak somewhere on the other end of that replaced vacuum hose.. IIRC fusible links can be bought new, I can't remember where, but JY's are a great source! Subarule
You can pretty much bet that if the car still has its original vac hoses that it isn't just one that needs replacing. Those hoses are like sieves when they get old. My advice: replace all of them.
HMK110
Yeah that's the plan probably swap all of them over. Thanks Tim
