HMK110 Posted October 11, 2011 Share Posted October 11, 2011 Picked up this 85 GL wagon for 500 bucks, been driving it for about a year no big issues, just goes through quart of oil every few days. I think of it as a 2 stroke- But here's the symptoms when it's cold smokes alot, doesn't have a burnt oil smell while driving, doesn't leak at all. I Solved the Oil on PCV System using an Oil Catch Can: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=118239 But Also it might be Leaking Oil over the Exhaust System... HMK110 Posted October 11, 2011 Author Share Posted October 11, 2011 When I bought the wagon, it had a hiss under the hood found there were 2 Vacuum lines disconnected (I believe one is for altitude), It idled rough,but when I connected them idle was smooth-but there is oil in the airbox, I also changed out the valve.
