bought a 06' wrx imp. a wk ago, it started to make loud knocking noise as i press the brakes or if i downshift what could that noise be?

Broken sway bar, bad motor mounts, check for loose bolts on suspension and brakes.

Do you feel the knocking in the floor, steering wheel or brakes. Look under the car and see if you see anything hanging down.
