October 24, 201114 yr I have an 03 Legacy GT automatic with Sportshift, Does anyone know if a transmission from a regular Legacy without sportshift will work. According to the cross reference chart on all of the transmissions for sale on ebay, they will fit. So that makes me wonder if they are the same trans but work with or without that feature. I don't even need one but I am just obsessive and like to know these things about my car just in case. Thanks
October 25, 201114 yr They should bolt in the same and should work but the TCU will still have the Sport Shift option.

October 27, 201114 yr Author Is there a way to tell? I looked up the numbers on the top where the trans meets the engine and didn't find anything.
