Looking for some advice on an alternator on my 85, today my voltage dropped to 8 and I smelled a burning odor, popped the Hood and discovered the wire going to the alternator was burning, glowing red, I disconnected the Batt. To prevent further damage does anyone know if this harness is available or is it easier than this, looks like it grounded out against another wire. Any Ideas Thanks-Tim

this happened to me and it caught on fire i think the alternator and ac wires were together and the insulation was worn off causing a short, i just cleaned it up and put new wire in and it works to this day
