January 2, 201214 yr will a axle from a 95 sedan awd fit onto a 99 awd forester ,both a/t , thinking it will not ,but worth a try ?
January 2, 201214 yr Only real difference I've seen on the n/a's is a the outer joint, whether it has a tone ring or not, and then the metal piece that goes against the grease seal is sometimes a little different. Turbos sometimes the spline count is different.
January 2, 201214 yr hold up, the title says 00 axle, the post says 99 axle. which is it.? 00 and 95 may be different. at some point they moved the tone ring for the abs from the hub to the axle. i don't know the year. look for thew axle you need , the year, at www.car-part.com and the results will show you the years that fit. January 2, 201214 yr Double check to make sure you have the ABS tone ring behind the hub instead of on the axle. If they both do (which I'm positive the '95 does) then they will work.
