Ford tempo spring swap help! Ea82

Featured Replies

i orderd ford tempo springs moog cc852 for the front i have a ea82 gl on a 6" sjr lift do i need to cut these springs to make them the same size as the ea82? or leave them as is, im hopeing the new springs will lift the car up a little higher

My understanding is, you do not cut them. You want the extra coils, combined with the stiffer spring rate to lift the vehicle and ride better (Handle extra weight of Bumpers, EJ motor swap ect.)

your tempo springs might be different, but I had to cut a coil off just to even get them into the strut.the coil you want is NOT progressive BTW.

This is 100% true. I forgot about that bit of info. I want to say Scott (xbeerd) had this same issue with this.
