another xt6 question

Featured Replies

Im having some throttle issues now that I've gotten the xt6 running it seems like its choking out when I give it gas. its died a couple times but starts right back up I'm not sure if its timing or tps or bad fuel... the code I'm getting is for the car speed sensor would that cause this issue? and where is this sensor located? Also I'm unsure if its related but when its "choking out" the power light on the dash comes on but goes right away when I let off the gas... any thoughts would be helpfull thanks

Speed sensor is in the tranny IIRC, I'd check all the wire going that way for burns and breaks, I'd also do a thorough check of all the sensor connections for corrosion and bad sockets. Might be a good idea to test your tps too(if you can on the 2.7). You should be able to find sensor locations and test procedures by searching around.

Glad to hear you got it running!

Josh

Power light is triggered by the TPS. (unless it's flashing, that's a trouble code)

Test the TPS.
