nncoolg
Just wondering what the difference is between the subie wheels and peugeot wheels and if there is a ready made CBL ring the right size? thanks.
Leeroy
Not sure what you are referring to by 'CBL ring' (centreing ring?) but Subies of this vintage are not hub centric - the wheels are located with the wheel nuts (they should be torqued correctly) and I assume the Peugeot rims are the same. nncoolg
'center bore locator' and yeah they are hub centric, center of the mag fits snug on the center of the hub, maybe with non-genuine wheels they dont, but the subie ones certainly do... Leeroy
Hmmm... Sorry to disagree with you but Subarus with the 140 PCD do not have hub centric wheels, even from the factory! All location is by the wheel nuts alone.
nncoolg
Sorry man, see the 4 ribs between the disc bolts, they are what centers the wheel, without them you get hardcore vibrations. I just want to find out about the peugeot sizing as Im guessing they are different surely... Edited March 7, 2020 by nncoolg
Leeroy
And yet the rear brake drums do not have those little lugs (at least from my poor memory...). Despite those lugs Subarus from this area are not hub centric. Yes there is difference in the centre bore size, the Peugeot bore is slightly larger but not by much, say 5mm (really rough measurements at night, in the dark, from the front of the wheel - Subaru 80mm, Peugeot 85mm). 987687
Even if the pugs are different... I've driven about 4000 miles on the highway with mine. At highway speeds 75-80. And with properly balanced tires they do not vibrate at all.
