Went to do the oil seal for the rear tailhouse and last bolt snapped... I don't think I'm going to split the case now... I guess this happens with tranny cases that have been sitting awhile?

What bolt snapped? If it snapped then there should be no head holding the parts together.....

Under? You will have to be more specific. Why is a single snapped off bolt such a problem? Ignore it, drill it out and heli-coil.... etc. There are usually options.
