Brat Windshield Visor??

Featured Replies

So anyone ever seen a Brat with a windshield visor? Really wanting to do something like this with my Brat, visor and roof rack. Would probably get a solid metal or fiberglass one.

Something like this would look better, but you would have to do a lot of trim work, then bondo etc. but sounds like it would be a cool idea! make this come to life!

Not that his helps but you can buy them new in Australia from this company (click on the Products link and scroll down for sun visors):

But they are not cheap and I doubt it would be cost effective to ship to the US of A...

I say make a buck and then form plexi over it. Should be easy enough and completely original.

But then again where will you find an oven to warm the plexi? Guess you could use an auto paint hardener booth or powder coat oven if you had one.

You don't use an oven to bend plexi.

Use a heater coil and practice with a scrap piece beforehand so you don't over cook it. If you keep it over the coil too long it'll bubble and burn. Feel the flex , make it happen and that's it. I used to do this as a fabricator and you can do it easily.

Was thinking about doing it out of metal actually, think having a tinted wone would be kind of cool but metal would probably work better and still look pretty cool

Good to know, just saw it done on tv with an auto oven.
