  2. Holy crap i haven't been on this page in a long time!!! I ended up parking this car, then got a 04 Forester XT - that i sti swapped, and then totaled, and bought a 05 Forester XT, sti swapped it then blew it up, and now am building for 600+ i do still have my 86, slowly working on getting it back running and might use it as a winter car!
  3. Well... i spent even more money... NEW 6.3k and 3.5k springs for my coil overs! (3 day shipping!!!!!) Flapatax mudflaps! and a 22mm 3 way adjustable Rear sway bar! i want this spoob to come in ASAP! i hate waiting!!!!!
  4. try pulling your WHOLE roof piece and see if theres a way you can adjust it (i think there is).
  5. I have the whole assembly (rails, motor, glass) ITs a big thing to ship tho...
  6. Im pretty sure that the SS has a beefier trans (to handle more power and abuse) than the normal 2.2. There shouldn't be a issue that i see, except for the Final drive.
  7. Well... ALL the snow has melted, days are warmer, pretty sure im working from 7-4 now, which means..... THIS BUILD will CONTINUE! WHOOOO
  8. XXR 527 17x8.25 et 25! wrapped in 225/45's ripped up my front lip (got it wrapped in white and it is ripping )
  9. Oh yeah! I power washed em, an fully tore then apart so I could swap my seat heaters over. Sti seats with heaters = perfect!!
  10. Well... done some more stuff to it, i got the front lip wrapped in vinyl, today i scuffed it up some ( i also got some eye lids for the lights, then i bought some 04/05 STI seats
  11. I've been running around with it like that in 3 cars, and never been pulled over but thanks for the warning.
  12. Check awdpirates for wheels (priced pretty reasonable). I got my 17s in boulder for 200, and tires for 100 (had to go to foco to get them tho)
  13. You can create and tweak your own maps with the AP. buy best thing is you can have multiple maps (launch maps etc). I have a open tune on mine right now And I really don't like it (only thing I like is that shifting my rpm actually goes up between shifts so I don't loose boost. As for the lip, I would like to paint it but I thought about it and a white one would get destroyed and faded and chipped alot faster and I'd have to re paint it. I'm also going to wrap my grill and roof in matte black.
  14. Well congrats on the son! And I do understand the no money and weather haha
  15. Yes I did... almost popped both my back tires driving home before I rooled them, on wed i am buying a set of 225/50/17s for my new rims they are 17x8 +40. on monday i should be getting my importology front lip, wrapping it in matte black as well as the whole roof.
  16. My dads got a 88 carbed, a 91 (4 door, 4wd) and he's getting another that someone ruin the motor it's a 91? 4 door 4wd
  17. well its riding on 1.25" spacers all around, rear fenders rolled. thing looks like its got a wide body! also got my importology front lip on order! new wheels with tires will be on next week!
  18. Well I got new struts and coils! 05 Sti rears, 04 Sti kyb struts front, and Sti pink coils. Rides great when I'm sick and with a rough alignment. Will get better with my new tires and new rims!
  19. the cost for mine would be 500, for the AP and tuning. yes its exspensive, but i do like the fact that i can change maps. so at work i found out my coilovers are Pre loaded... so i ordered some spanner wrenches to correct this. should be fixed by saturday!
  20. thing is i have never heard a bad thing about a AP. im just not a big fan of tweaking with the ecu to tune it.... and Harvey at "the boost creep" is one of THE BEST tuners in colorado. i know a shop metro performance, who has a 510+ hp sti ($16k under the hood) and he tuned it.
