While splitting my block I ruined one of the alignment dowels for engine block. The dealer does not have a part number for these. does anyone know where to get them. They are 12x26mm with an inside diameter of 8.8 mm

i would post in the parts wanted forum that you need one. many folks have blocks sitting around our garages and don't need the dowel pins. i do but no time at the moment.

witch ones where the heads go on ? or where the block halfs join ? i whould have both but i think you could use a cut down bolt or pipe aslong as its the right size

I just parted several engines and have several to do yet.

 

I keep a few of the dowels to align engine and trans onhand.

 

The others I may be able to get for you but not for a week ro so.
