I've seen alot of reverse manifolds in high performance turbo WRX's and i'm curious as to the reason why besides less piping going to the front mount intercooler. Would that type of manifold have any benefit for a NA?

I've seen alot of reverse manifolds in high performance turbo WRX's and i'm curious as to the reason why besides less piping going to the front mount intercooler. Would that type of manifold have any benefit for a NA?

 

You hit it on the head, less piping.

Also, with a custom intake manifold, it's carefully designed to flow better, etc.

But no, it's not going to get much extra out of an n/a.

 

The best you can do on an n/a is performance cams from delta.

because people like having chrome/anodized/powdercoated pieces of metal hovering just above their alternator's hot post.

 

oh yeah, and +1 on the delta cams.
