Testing the waters....Lowering springs, uprated rear springs for 85+ Gen 3's.

Featured Replies

I'm gonna see what kind of interest Ive got here with this...

I can get lowering springs for our SUBARUs, the Gen 3's. Ya know, the EA82 powered ones. DL/GL/GL-10/RX/Leone/Loyale. I have not testing any of these on an XT....so I am not officially offering them...unless someone wants to be a experiment for me. :drunk:

Also, if anyone is interested, just uprated springs for the rear for those who carry a lot of load back dere in dem wag-ens.

I can get springs rates anywhere from 200 (stock rages from 130 (most everything, sedan/wagon/coupe), to 160 (RX)) to 2500 lbs for the front. For the rear, stock is 160 for most, where wagons are 200. I can get rates from 80 to 1000....in many different lenghts.

Now the price game....right now, it looks like $240 for a complete set of springs. NEW. I am looking around for different prices and different sizing and more rates. If I have enough interest....I'll get more serious and start something.

So, any interest?

I just want to say good luck, because at that price i dont think many people will be buying those, expecally when people are finding springs from older accords and such, also when you can get some nice 450lbs springs off ebay for under $100, most of them are going for $40 to $50.

Good Luck,

Shean

there should be some interest in those. yeah there are some other options poping up but what WJM is talking about sounds rather sweet. that price range is totaly reasonable.

ok I am curious because I tried to find info on stuff like this when I first wanted some stiffer spring in the rear and nobody knew anything. that why I went with the honda springs. how did you find these? or do they need to be made by a sping mfgr?

That seems about a good price, I remember looking at a set of lowering springs for my Legacy and they were like, 240 I think for all 4.

I have XT6 stuff in my car, but I still have the stock rear coils, any chance you can get XT6/Legacy springs for the front, with the EA82 springs for the rear? If so I'd be interested..
