Are all EJ power steering pumps interchangeable?

 

Parts interchanges show 98 and 99 Impreza are different?

And also show Impreza and Legacy as not interchanging.

 

I know that's not all the case...so, does anyone know of any differences or which are/are not interchangeable?

There are several pump sizes and quite an assortment of rebuild kits (about $35 at the dealer) for all of them. Generally if you keep pump and bracket together you can swap at will.
