Additives to calm transmission whine

1993 Loyale, 5 spd manual transmission. It makes a whine noise that I can hear if I coast. I know this is normal as the transmission ages. Has anyone had any luck with any additives for this?

Not really normal. Nothing you can add that's going to quiet failing bearings except sawdust which I don't recommend. Open it up and change the bearing that's failing or drop in a replacement used tranny.
