January 13, 201313 yr http://www.cars101.com is a Subaru's specific sight with gobs of information about stuff like this. It will answer your question. All (or most - like hoods, doors, fenders) 99 and earlier impreza body parts interchange. If there are differences it might depend what you mean by "First generation Impreza hatch body sport"...since the sport version wasn't part of the first line of impreza's or hatches. The first year of the Impreza OBS with the hood scoop and body cladding was like 1997...maybe a few 1996's? 1997-1999.
January 14, 201313 yr As Gary suggested the Cars101.com will tell you what you're after. The '93-96 was the 1st iteration of the Impreza - coupe/sedan/wagon. The Outback Sport (OBS) was a '95 model initially, and was the same as the wagon. The wagon was a 'sport wagon', too, but not an OUTBACK...just to confuse things a little. In '97 they made some minor changes to the front end and added the hood scoop on the OBS. I believe the same basic body style lasted thru 2001 in the US. I currently have a '96 OBS and a '96 LX sport wagon, and they are the same except for a few odds and ends: 2 tone paint (lower gray) Outback cloth Special wheel covers (hubcaps) Roof rack Mud flaps Rear bumper protector Cargo area plastic mat with tie-down hooks Td Edited January 14, 201313 yr by wtdash
January 14, 201313 yr The first impeza "sport" hatch body style, ran what years? Impreza as a body style goes from 1993-2001 but yeah, there were some changes along the way. Passenger air bag, EJ18 to EJ22. But as far as body goes 93-2001 will all interchange and most everything else.
