April 12, 200421 yr I had read countless threads about drilling out toyota and chevy rims but it appears they are all for the 15" rims. I need 14" steel rims. Does anyone know what 14" rims could be drilled to fit my 1982 Subaru Brat? Thanks Gregg
April 12, 200421 yr Author Does this mean you have some 14" pug steel rims for sale? :-) I have a set of 15" pug steel rims for sale or trade for 14" pug steel rims.
April 12, 200421 yr 6 Bolt steel wheels are best. The spoked aftermarket ones are best as they usually have a flat hub face and get you the best contact to your hub.
April 12, 200421 yr US Wheel 70 series (white) or 75 series (chrome). Size 14x6, with 6x5.5" bolt spacing. 3.5" Center opening. Part numbers: White: 70-4660 Chrome: 75-4660 GD
April 12, 200421 yr Author Hey GD, Thanks for the info.........I appreciate the straight and informative response when it comes along. Do you know of any vehicles that come stock with the 14X6" steel wheel that I can find at the junkyard? Thanks, Gregg
April 12, 200421 yr No, I don't. You want to look at Toyota's, Isuzu's, and Chevy's tho for sure. But the US Wheel 70 series is pretty cheap - like $25 each brand new at most tire shops. GD
April 13, 200421 yr I went to a local foreign car dismantler today and they said that there aren't any Pug rims besides the 14" 505's that would fit the Brats. Is this correct, because I thought that there was a 15" Pug that would fit.
April 13, 200421 yr dude! did someone say they want to trade 15" steels for 14" steels???? i have 14" steels and want 15" steels!!!!!!! but... wherabouts are you located? I am in the seattle area...
April 13, 200421 yr Author Hey Ratty2Austin, I am located in Denver......how many do you have? If you have 5 steel 14" wheels then we could just do a direct swap......it would just cost us the shipping. If you only have 4 then I will keep one as a spare. Do you have a photo of the style? Mine are the "vented style".....except for the spare which is the closed steel type. Are there tires on your wheels? And what are they? The tires on my 15" are 195/65/R15......the rubber is just street tread and not very good.
