This is my first posting! Anyway, i was looking into upgrading my system, when i noticed on the rear deck there are 2 grey plates covering what seems to be places for speakers, you can see them if you pop the trunk and look up at the rear deck from inside the trunk. I guess you would need to know that it is a 01 legacy L sedan. If anyone can help me i would love to know what size speaker fits in those 2 spots.

Hey and welcome to the board:) . Im not too sure about your speakers...I looked it up on crutchfield and it says that the speakers are in the rear doors and that there 6 and a half inch round.

All you need to do is measure the size of the hole. The speaker size will be slightly larger than your measurement. You shouldn't have a depth restriction to worry about for this position.
