Rumor has it that 05 legacy gt coils will fit 80's subaru gl's and dl's. is this true? need some help!!!

Aftermarket Coilovers can be made to fit.

 

The actual coil springs are larger diameter, and would likely slip off the spring perch on an EA82 shock.

do you recommend cutting and grinding the springs to lower it or getting coils to fit?
