my brat's stripes - aftermarket or OEM?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Am planning to paint my '86 Brat sometime in the near future as it's a bit of a mess aesthetically. But one thing I really like are the side stripes that are on it, as in the picture below.

If at all possible, I'd like to put something like these back on once I've got the new paint job done (gonna keep the color). However, I was wondering if these stripes just happened to be a previous owner's aftermarket artwork, or if they came stock from Subaru, and if so, where on earth could I find some?

Thanks in advance!

Aftermarket all the way, put on the wrap around brat stripe kit made my the SubaruJunkie member on the board here, he will see this post and respond to you, but his stripes are on Ebay for sale   Under "Brat Decal" to check out

the stripes are actually made by pooparu , but the idea is the same

I believe pooparu does custom ones.  message him and you can likely take pictures of what you have and he can recreate them.

Thanks guys! This is super helpful.

Mechanical_misfit, are you talking about the blue desert fox stripes you have on your wagon? wow those turned out great. I will definitely be contacting pooparu.

Yep, he made the desert fox stripes and I was very impressed with the qualityoff the material and the finish of them. I've had lots of experience with decals from my time in the autobody trade. These were just ad high quality as similar decals that I've installed on police cars, so really durable stuff.
