Hi there needing some help I have just installed an ea82 in my brumby 4 speed gearbox and my clutch leaver is floppy, did I put the clutch plate in the wrong way or what. The original pressure plate and clutch plate are in and were Im at is what pushes the thrust bearing against the pressure plate. Please help I have had motor out three time so fare.

If the clutch was on wrong you would not have been able to mate up the PP to the flywheel.

Are the spring clips still attached to the lever and throwout bearing?

Sometimes they will come loose during install.

You may also need to adjust the cable nut so it has tension.

Did you use the EA82 flywheel, PP and disc? If you didn't, I believe that's your problem. You can't use the EA81 flywheel unless it's 84 and up.
