No headlights or dash lights, '85 Brat

Featured Replies

Replaced a blown fuse and still nothing. They were working just fine. Everything else works. Checked the 3 links in the grey plastic cover on the passenger side, all good. was thinking bad light switch but all my other lights work just fine. *scratches head*

Still starts? I would try testing for continuity among the ground straps. My Brat had the same problem. It ended up being a combination of: ground strap, blown fuse, and melted wire due to PO putting a 40amp fuse in there...

It could still be a bad switch, I would pull the switch and check it out.

thanks guys. will be checking the switch in a few min. where are those grounds located?

Ok, pulled the switch and the male/female connector from the switch into the harness is absolutely FRIED! Peeled back about 4 inches of the harness casing and all the wires look fine. Looks like a trip to the boneyard for new switch and connector is in order. Last time I was there all they had was an '80's hatch. Hope it's still there.
