July 21, 201312 yr Author I need a little of help since here in Florida there is no snow and hills I would like to lower the car but I clue less since the rear it only brings a shock the car is a 87 GL 2wd 1.6. And I know I would put a lift kit but here in Florida there is not need too
July 21, 201312 yr For starters, VERY cool hatch! It looks like you snagged a good one! As far as lowering goes....how low? Short of something fairly custom, the options are pretty limited. The rear is easy, the fronts, not so much.
July 22, 201312 yr some on here have cut a coil or two out of the springs. I have contacted Eibach and they can make custom springs for around $300 stiffer and lower if you want. I didn't ask if I could get them progressive rate though which would be nice if just cruising and stiffen when trying to be aggressive.
July 22, 201312 yr Author Thank u guys. For the rear I will say 1.5 and the front 2. As far as the rear how easy is I only see a shock ?
July 22, 201312 yr it is a coil over strut. You can chop coils all day to lower it, but in order to keep the alignment in check you will need to relocate the strut tops outward.
July 22, 201312 yr How did you do the four lug conversion? And the rear should be a torsion bar and may have an adjustment bolt accessable under the rear seat. I am not sure I will take a look and get back to you.. Might be a day or so.
July 22, 201312 yr Author I did the alignment recently and as far as the front and rear I have positive camber since am running 15x8 wheel with 35 off I will try to post the number tomorrow
July 22, 201312 yr Author The lug convention was not easy I found a 88 wagon at the junk yard and I had to send to the machine shop to resurface the center and drill the holes at the end spend 300 but I was so desperate since I had those wheels sitting

You then took the rotors and drums off of another 4x140 Subaru and then had them machined to accept a different 4-lug pattern? Is that right? If so, what is your new lug pattern?
July 24, 201312 yr OK so I finally crawled around to look for adjustment on the 2wd rear.. NONE. NADA, Zilch. The only way you are going to adjust the rear is by a reclock of the torsion bars.
July 25, 201312 yr No worries, reclocking the rear is easy. Way easier than keeping the front end aligned when you drop it.
July 30, 201312 yr Author this weekend am planning to drop it like a 1.5 front and back i got it all square
July 31, 201312 yr Nice hatch there. Very clean for it's age. How many miles? Out of curiousity, that's $300 per spring, right? Are they fitted to stock type struts?
July 31, 201312 yr Out of curiousity, that's $300 per spring, right? Are they fitted to stock type struts? If that was directed at me that is $300 for the front (both sides) on stock struts..2wd struts are a bit lower to begin with but raised mine back up some because of the 4wd springs which stiffened up my ride considerably.
