What years and body styles interchange for a DR 5 speed transmission?

 Will the 5 speed DR interchange easily between the models?

 

 I know this question has been beat to death,

What years and parts interchange between the 2 Gen Brats, Wagons, Hatches and Coupes?

 

I'm mostly interested in the sheet metal and exterior interchange.

Do a search on this forum and it will keep you reading for hours. Not being smart, there is just a lot of information, and I couldn't begin to do it justice.

 

81 to 84 everything. Hatches and Brats went on longer (hatches to 89 I think.)

cept thats not right.

 

82-87 brat

80-89 hatchback

80-84 everything else (wagon, hardtop, sedan)

 

That is for North America, elsewhere could well be different. I refer to these as Gen 2 instead of ea81, as some came with ea71 engine and the main point being the above describes a generation of Subarus where much is interchangable.
