Is it possoble to to swap my 85 gl motor and tranny and rear end over to a newer ej set up with out to many major mods i would like to put a 2.5 turbo and all wheel drive tranny in this car can i squeez it in

Been done before.

If you can find a rear diff with output stubs that matches the ratio of the gearbox used you'll only have to swap the rear diff up the back.

As for the front end, some mods to the engine crossmember are needed for the turbo up pipe and if running the EJ gearbox you're looking at modified gearbox crossmember, gear linkages and tail shaft length.

The rest is small stuff and the wiring...
