Car not getting power to the front

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I'm just starting with car mechanical things and i have a problem with my 82 brat. When the car is in 2wd it feels like it doesnt go into gear and when i put it in 4 it'll go in gear but only the rear tires will spin. I'm not really sure what i have to do so your advice would really help.

Check for stripped splines on the front hubs.

Thanks naru but does anyone think that this may be a transfer case problem?

There is no transfer case. Check for stripped hub or broken CV.

The car is front-wheel drive, with selectable 4WD.  The front wheels are always connected.

Check for stripped splines in the front wheel hubs.
