nos question

Featured Replies

This is probably a dumb question but would like a 25 hp shot be safe on a ea 71 subaru brat? I just want a little more go when mud races start up again.?

if you want more power go for an ea81, with ea82 spfi pistons delta cams and a webber carb. all in all it would be about 30 hp and cost about the same, maybe a little more.

Ok just asking cause have a nos kit layinf in shop mot being used thought about throw it on there

And how hard is the ea81 swap and finding parts?

depends on your area though they are usually pretty cheap, the install wouldnt be that hard, might need a trans to go with it. i wouldnt go putting nos on these engines, an ea81 might hold it not sure about the ea71.

put the nos kit on the Ea71. When it blows up put an EA81 in.I want to see what a bottle fed EA71 is like.

I may after find a spare motor. Its just a 40 hp shot lol

we use nos on subaru engines alot is critacal to get the foger to have right mix of feul and nos a dry shot on subaru engine will kill it try a 0.16 nos pill and a 0.18 feul pill to start i belive a 0.16 is the smallest avalible start with the smallest posibble combo and work up slowly from there. To mutch will bend rods or shatter pistons Ask me how i know this lol by the end of race season we were running a 120 mpi shot witch takes 4 foggers 3 soiliniods extra feul pump nos ecu ect but add 120 hp to 250 hp turbo engine and hang on !
