April 24, 200421 yr i went to a big yard today , thinking they would have some parts i wanted , but all there subaru's were crushed 2months ago , so drove to another smaller yard thinking there was a turbo wagon there , no go , scrap steel is still pretty hi ,good thing i have alot of spare parts
April 25, 200421 yr I feel your pain Jim. The local yard here crushed 3 Soobs in one day. Seems me being the only one buying parts from them, just wasn't enough reason to keep them around. What really sucks, is one ws a '87 BRAT, lots of good body panels left to be purchased on it. But no, we had to crush it, need more room for these wrecked ricer cars. Can't be having a classic collector item hogging up valuable space now can we???? AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 25, 200421 yr Hey where I work the school totally destroys at least 3-4 soobs every three months.right now there's a hatch4x4,a 4-door 2wd,and two 5spd D\R wagons just taking punishment until they meet their demise .Luckily I can scrounge alot of drivetrain and interior stuff before the students destroy it.Latest scores.. a lightly pitted w\shield,4 h-alloys w\centercaps,center consol(stereo part, and the back with armrest cubby) oh yea a 4spd,and 5spd D\R trannys.
April 25, 200421 yr I feel your pain as well, I was telling some others here that a local wrecking yard, they crushed 3 Brats, and many other wagons, all with some parts that were pretty nice. I am so sad now.
April 25, 200421 yr Author another junkyard which has been closed for 20 years crushed 2 78 brats 2 - 80s wagons
