Do 87 gl wagons have the same engine as a 91 loyale? And do the 91's have high low transfer cases what years have high/low what Dont sorry new and looking for a wagon 5 speed awd high/low and lower miles

The engines are both EA82 engines, but the 87 is carb'd and the 91 is fuel injected. The 5spd dual range was available from 85-89. in 1990 when it became a Loyale, they did not come with them anymore.

It will all bolt up yes. But if you wanted to put FI into the 87 you'd have to deal with the wiring as well.

the carbed ones rev higher and make more power less mpg

What I want to build it a gl wagon with 31-32" tires prolly km2's with but I want to make some HP so will rebuild engine and turbo it I have a t3/t4 and intercooler but I want that newer Subaru sound so straight pipe?

The EA82 will not be a good power plant for boost, or to get any amount of power out of. An EJ swap would be better for that.
