Hi, I need to know to distance between the top of an EJ block to the bonnet of an EA81 body. If you have lift, just minus the lift amount off. Also please measure from the "EJ2X" stamping on the engine.

I laid a straight edge across the top of the fenders. Measuring down to the ej22 stamp looks like 7 1/8" no lift. Hope that helps.

bummer is a massive hood scoop on mine so nowere to meshure from my ej 2.5 4 cam turbo engine in 79 wagon has about 3/4 of a inch from intake to hood. Not counting intercooler
